When will I receive my tracking number for my order? We will email you the tracking number after your order has been shipped.

What is the typical lead time to ship products? Typical lead time is 3-4 business days to ship. Lead time may vary depending on quantities and products ordered and availability of material. Please note dollies, custom drapery and other special ordered products may take additional lead time to ship.

How do I receive a quotation? To receive a quotation please call us with the product names, variations and quantities of the items you are interested in or you can fill out our quote request form. Once we receive your request, we will email you an official quotation with the total product cost and freight charge included.

How long is my quotation good for? Quotations are typically good for up to 30 business days, However it's best to refer to the expiration date listed on your custom quote.

How long will it take to receive my quote with shipping charges? We do are best to email quotations within 48 hours after the initial request has been received. However, in some cases this may take longer due to numerous inquiries and coordinating with our vendors for freight rates and raw materials.

Do you sell products individually or in kits? While we do offer select pipe and drapery booth packages and special event packages, the majority of our products are sold individually.

I emailed my request a while back and want to know the status of my order? If you did not receive an order confirmation then your initial request may still be listed as a “Quote". Please note It is the customer’s responsibility to turn their "Quote" into an "Order" by signing the bottom of the custom quote from and submitting their order payment in full. You can also contact United Events direct to place orders by providing your payment information.

I’ve tried calling United Events several times and still get a voicemail? If you receive a voicemail, it means we are helping other clients or are away from our desk. Please leave us a detailed message and we will try our best to respond within 48 hours.

I have a deadline for my shipment what day/time do you need my order in by? If you have a deadline for your order, you must inform us prior to receiving your custom quote. We will email you a quote that includes the forecast ship date and delivery date based on the day/time we receive your order's signed authorization and full payment. Please note regular lead time to ship products is 3 - 4 business days. Transit times may vary depending on the shipping location. We kindly ask all of our clients to allow enough shipping time and transit time for delivery.

How much pipe and drapery products do I need for my booth/backwall configuration? Please refer to the Pipe and drape booth examples and product charts page under product resources. If you still have questions please contact us.

Do you have someone who can come out to my location to assist me with my pipe and drapery configuration so that I can be sure I’m buying the right products? United Events does offer onsite visits in the Orange County California local region only. Please contact us so we can schedule an onsite appointment.

What if I have never used or set up pipe and drapery equipment before? We do have pipe and drape assembly instructions you can download under product resources . If you still have questions, we recommend hiring a professional decorator or contacting a rental company to rent pipe and drapery equipment to start with.

How can I pay for my order? United Events accepts ACH, wire transfers and credit card payments. You can access the payment portal at the bottom of your custom quote.

Does United Events price match? Please contact United Events for more information.

Do you offer any special discounts for non-profit businesses? Please contact us if you are a non-profit business.

When do I need to pay sales tax? Customers will need to pay sales tax when receiving shipments in California. Customers who are receiving shipments outside of California state lines do not need to pay California sales tax. If you are a reseller of event products and have a resale license you can download the form on the price tiers & payment terms page. complete this form and email it to us. We will keep it on file and not charge sales tax for future orders.

When will I receive my product? Forecast ship date and delivery date is stated on all quotations we email our clients.

How long will it take to ship my products? Lead time to ship may vary depending on the quantities and products being ordered. The order ship date is listed on the order confirmation.

How can I track my order in transit? Locate the freight carrier name and tracking number on your order confirmation. Visit the freight carriers website and type in the tracking number. This will allow you to track the transit time for your order.

Do you sell and ship products internationally? Currently, United Events only sells and ships products direct to companies and client locations within the United States main region.

How do you ship your products? For boxes 8’ long or less and under 75 lbs. we can ship products via UPS. Boxes longer than 8’ or heavier than 75 lbs. will need to be shipped via LTL truck freight.

Can I arrange my own freight? If you have already purchased from United Events, we can ship on the clients UPS account number. If you want to arrange shipping for FTL or LTL truck shipments you will need to contact United Events so we can see if and when this option would be available.

Do you offer free shipping? Unfortunately, United Events does not offer free shipping due to how pipe and drapery products are long, bulky, and often times very heavy. Shipping costs are assessed on each order and are based on the products total weight, size and number of boxes and pallets.

Why is my freight charge so expensive? Freight charges may be expensive due to how some products are too heavy or too long to be shipped via UPS and therefore must be shipped via LTL truck freight. Delivery assessorial fees can also add to freight charges as well. These charges include delivery appointments, limited access/residential deliveries or shipping products that are over length or weigh excessive amounts. We work diligently to provide you the best freight cost for your order.

Residential delivery- Delivering products to a residential house.

Liftgate/pallet jack - Ensures the delivery truck will have a liftgate/pallet jack available to deliver products to ground level.

Delivery appointment - freight dispatcher calls the consignee to schedule a date and time the freight carrier can deliver products to their location.

Over length - shipping products that are considered over length for the freight carrier.

Limited Access - shipping products to a location that is difficult for the truck driver to reach which may involve: amusement parks, construction sites, farms, mines, places of worship, schools, hospitals, nursing homes etc.

What do I need in order to receive an LTL truck shipment at my facility? In order to receive an LTL truck shipment at a commercial address customers will typically need a pallet jack/forklift or truck high loading dock so that the products can be unloaded safely to ground level. When shipping to schools, churches, or residential facilities we can ensure that the delivery truck will have a liftgate/pallet jack on board so that the products can be unloaded safely to ground level. When shipping larger products that are too long/heavy for a liftgate we can arrange to have the freight delivered to the nearest freight terminal to a customer’s location where they can pick up their order after being contacted by the freight dispatcher.

Do you ship directly to convention or civic centers? Please contact us for this request.

Do you ship orders direct to a storage unit facility? United Events will not ship orders direct to storage unit facilities.

Do you offer expedited shipping services? United Events offers both standard and expedited shipping services. Please let us know your delivery deadline and we will advise if we can meet it. We will then send you a quote with shipping charges.

How is the pipe and base product typically boxed? Uprights and telescopic drape supports (crossbars) are usually boxed for UPS and truck freight shipments. Base plates and steel hanging components are usually palletized for truck freight shipments. For special packaging accommodations you must contact us prior to ordering so we can see if and when these arrangements can be made. We can also send you the weights and dimensions for the products upon request. The weights and dimensions form will show the product commodity, packaging dimensions, freight class, the total weight and the total amount of boxes and/or pallets for your order.

What are the shipping terms? Please refer to our shipping terms.

What is an LTL shipment? This means the shipment is less than full truck load.

What is an FTL shipment? This means the shipment is full truckload.

What is a consolidated shipment? Involves combining multiple smaller shipments from different shippers into a single larger shipment. Please note these freight trucks do not have liftgates, therefore the consignees receiving location must have a forklift/pallet jack and/or a truck high loading dock to receive the shipment.

What happens if my order has been damaged in transit? If your order has been damaged in transit, please take photos of the damaged products, document it on the Proof of Delivery (POD) and report it to United Events ASAP so we can review your claim.

What happens if all or part of my order is missing? If you notice something is missing in your shipment, please take photos, document it on the Proof of Delivery (POD) and report this claim to United Events ASAP so we can review your claim.

What happens if I refuse my shipment? Refusal of a shipment is considered abandonment and all charges for freight storage will be billed directly to the customer.

What is the Bill of Lading (BOL)? It is a receipt in the shipping industry. It is the contract between the shipper and the carrier. It includes important information regarding shipping addresses, packaging type, freight classes, descriptions of goods as well as any other type of special shipping instructions.

What is the NMFC number?
The National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) allocates a specific number to each product that can be shipped via LTL truck freight. The NMFC number pairs to the freight class best suited for the product. Please contact us for this information.

How do I know what size my 2-piece or 3-piece adjustable upright is? Please download the 2-Piece or 3-Piece Adjustable Upright Tube chart in the product resources.

What uprights are most common? For standard (non-adjustable) uprights 3’h and 8’h is the most common. For 2-piece adjustable uprights 5’ - 8’h, 6-10’h, 7-12’h and 9-16’h is the most common. For 3-piece adjustable uprights 6’-14’h, 7’-17’h, 8’-20’h and 9’-23’h is the most common.

What uprights do you offer? standard (non-adjustable) uprights 3’h, 6’h, 8’h, 10’h, and 12’h. We also offer 2-piece adjustable uprights that range from 3’- 5’h to 14’-26’h. 3-piece adjustable uprights are also available that range from 5’-11’h to 10-26’h.

What is a standard upright? A standard upright is a vertical pole that stands on a base plate. The standard upright means that the upright is fixed and is non-adjustable.

How many sets of slots are included on a standard upright?

3’h uprights have (1) set of (4) slots at the top and include a chrome cap

6’h uprights and higher have (2) sets of (4) slots – (1) set at 3’h and (1) set at the top

What is a 2-piece adjustable upright? 2- piece adjustable upright is a vertical pole that stands on a base plate. The 2-piece adjustable upright means it comes with one black slip-lock collar with one outer pole that measures 2” OD. and one inner pole that measures 1 13/16” OD.

What is a 3-piece adjustable upright? 3- piece adjustable upright is a vertical pole that stands on a base plate. The 3- piece adjustable upright means it comes with two black slip-lock collars with one outer pole that measures 2” OD., one middle pole that measures 1 13/16” OD. and one top pole that measures 1 5/8” OD.

How do I use the adjustable upright slip-lock collar? Please refer to the adjustable upright operation instructions under the product resources.

How do I use the adjustable upright collar repair kit for my 2-piece adjustable upright? Please refer to the adjustable upright collar repair kit instructions in the product resources.

How can I repair my damaged upright poles? There are several ways to repair a damaged upright pole. These options may vary depending on where the damage is located on the upright pole.

The first option is to use a repair end. This option is best for replacing damaged upright ends.

The second option is to use a tube expanding tool. This option is best for repairing dented upright ends.

The third option is to purchase a replacement inner, outer, middle or top pole for an adjustable upright.

Do you sell replacement inner, outer, middle and top poles for 2-piece and 3- piece adjustable uprights? We offer replacement poles for both 2- piece and 3- piece adjustable uprights. Please let us know the model of the adjustable upright you want replacement poles for and we will email you a quote.

How can I make my adjustable uprights or standard uprights a taller height? In order to make existing uprights taller we offer extensions that are available in 1’-5’h increments that can be inserted in the top pole of an adjustable or standard upright. Please let us know the model of the upright you need an extension for and we will email you a quote.

Do you offer 2.0 Versatop ball and socket pipe system? United Events only offers 1.0 hook and slot pipe system.

Can I use my pipe and drapery products outdoors? United Event pipe and drapery products is designed for indoor use only and is not recommended for outdoor use.

Do you offer “silver” and “black” finish uprights, telescopic drape supports (crossbars) and base plates? We do offer silver anodized and black anodized uprights and telescopic drape supports (crossbars). “Silver” finish base plates come zinc plated. “Black” finish base plates are powder coated. Please note “black” finish hardware is special ordered, non-refundable, more expensive and may take additional lead time to ship.

Can I mount heavy machinery or equipment to United Events pipe and drapery products? United Events pipe and drapery products are primarily designed for hanging banners, vinyl and drapery only. We recommend for customers to seek a steel hardware configuration when mounting heavy machinery or equipment.

Do you have an upright that collapses for easy storage and transport? We offer an 8’high 2-piece standard upright that pulls apart from the center and can conveniently fit in a carry bag.

Do you offer CastleTop inserts for uprights? United Events does offer upright CastleTop inserts.

What uprights work with CastleTops? Standard and adjustable uprights work with CastleTops.

What drape supports (crossbars) work with CastleTops? CastleTops work with all drape supports (crossbars).

What colors are CastleTops available in? CastleTops are available in black finish.

Why should I convert my pipe system to CastleTops? There are many reasons to convert your pipe system. Please visit our CastleTops section for more details.

Will CastleTops make my pipe system last longer? Yes! this is one of the biggest advantages of upgrading a pipe system to CastleTops. CastleTops replaces traditional slots on aluminum uprights for drape supports (crossbars) to rest on. This in turn, gives you more longevity for your pipe system.

How does CastleTops create a “no top bump” look? Since CastleTops have an open top, it allows drape supports (crossbars) to sit higher up when attached and match up to the exact height of the upright leaving no gap. This gives a backwall a smoother transition from section to section.

What base plate do I use with my standard or adjustable upright? The height of the upright will determine the size and weight of the base plate used. (Below you will find the base plate weight and upright height breakdown.)

8”x14” x 3/16” (6 lbs.) base plate is needed for uprights up to 3’h max.

14”x16” x 3/16” (12 lbs.) base plate is needed for uprights up to 8’h max.

18”x18”x 3/16” (17.5 lbs.) base plate is needed for uprights up to 12’h max.

18”x18” x 3/8” (35 lbs.) base plate is needed for uprights up to 17’h max.

24”x24” x 3/16” (31 lbs.) base plate is needed for uprights up to 18’h max.

24” x24” x 3/8” (62 lbs.) base plate is needed for uprights up to 26’h max.

It’s recommended to add additional weight to base plates by using rubber weights saddlebags or sandbags especially in cases when hanging heavier drapery panels or when high foot traffic is present.

What are the different base plate versions that you offer? Base plates are available in three options: solid base with pin holes, stacking slot which adds a U shape cutout or handle slot which adds a handle slot cutout to the base plate.

Are pin and screw assemblies included with the base plates? Yes, pin and screw assemblies are included with all base plates.

What is screw-in uprights and screw-in base plates? A screw-in upright is a fixed height vertical pole that has threads at the bottom of the tube which allows it to be screwed directly into a screw-in base plate.

Screw-in uprights are available in 3’h x 1 ½” OD, 8’h x1 ½” OD and 12’h x 1 ½”OD.

What is a rubber base weight? Rubber base weights are available in 20 lbs. and 30 lbs. These weights function as sandbags and are placed on top of steel base plates to help add additional weight and support for a backwall.

How much pipe and drapery material do I need for my booth configuration? The amount of pipe and drapery needed will depend on the height and linear footage of the area being covered. You can contact us and we can help assist you with the pipe and drapery products. You can also refer to the booth examples and product charts in the product resources.

Do you offer a 3-piece drape support (crossbar)? We do offer a 3-piece drape support (crossbar) that collapses for easy storage and transport.

How can I make a arch? You can make an curved arch by purchasing a 3-piece curved drape support that is available in 10’ (120”) L or 12’ (144”) L. Please note this will require (3) standard or adjustable uprights and (3) base plates sold separately. If you want to make an arch using only (2) adjustable uprights and (2) base plates you will need to purchase (2) single cantilever brackets and (1) curved drape support (all sold separately).

How can I make an upward arch? In order to make an upward arch you will need to purchase (1) curved drape support, (2) single cantilever brackets, (2) adjustable uprights and (2) base plates (all sold separately).

How can I make 1 complete circle that is 14 ½’ diameter? This will require purchasing a total of (4) 10’ curved drape supports, (8) uprights, (8) base plates (all sold separately).

How can I make a complete circle that is 21’ diameter? This will require purchasing a total of (5) 12’ curved drape supports, (10) uprights and (10) base plates (all sold separately).

How can I make a complete circle? You can make a complete circle by purchasing a column cover available in 3’,4’,5’,6’,7’,8’,9’,10’, and 12’ diameters. The column cover will require (4) standard or adjustable uprights and (4) base plates (all sold separately).

How can I make a half circle? In order to make a half circle you will need to purchase a column cover, (2) single cantilever brackets, (2) adjustable uprights and (2) base plates (all sold separately).

How can I make a complete circle using only (2) uprights and (2) base plates? In order to make a complete circle you will need to purchase a column cover, (2) dual cantilever brackets, (2) adjustable uprights and (2) base plates (all sold separately). Please note we recommend adding additional weight to base plates using sandbags, saddlebags, or base weights when making this configuration.

What are Cantilever Brackets? Cantilever Brackets are offered in single and dual versions and are used to hang curved drape supports (arches) or column covers (circles) using only (2) adjustable uprights and (2) base plates.

*Note Cantilever Brackets will not work with Dome Column Covers.

How can I make an angular awning? In order to make an angular awning you will need to purchase (2) adjustable uprights, (2) base plates, (2) telescopic drape supports (crossbars), (2) dual cantilever brackets and (2) 3’h x 1/2” OD. standard uprights.

What pole covers do you offer? We offer poly premier pole covers that are available in white and black. These pole covers come in two sizes: 1 ½” OD. and 2” OD. The pole covers fit standard uprights, adjustable uprights and telescopic drape supports (crossbars). The 32’ pole cover roll can be cut to size.

How can I prevent my pole covers from slipping? To help prevent slippage you can try applying rubber bands.

Drapery fabric weight and thickness progressively get heavier from banjo drape to 20 oz cotton velour drape.

What is banjo drape? Banjo drape is polyester blend fabric that is inherently fire resistant. Banjo drape is widely used in the trade show and event industry because of its fire-resistant material and how it features a shiny woven textured appearance.

How do I clean my drapery fabric? Please refer to the the drapery fabric cleaning instructions in the product resources.

What types of table skirts do you offer? We offer poly sateen, poly premier and banjo cloth table skirts with and without Velcro. Table skirts come standard in 29”h x 13’ 6” (162”) w and 40”h x 13’ 6” (162”) w. Table skirts are fire resistant.

How do I know what size plastic Velcro clip I will need for my table edge? It’s recommended to measure the width of the table edge to ensure the Velcro clip will fit properly.

Does United Events offer the Velcro strip for tables? United Events does not offer the Velcro strip for tables. Customers must supply their own Velcro strip.

Does United Events offer staple strip for tables? United Events does offer staple strip webbing which allows skirting to be stapled directly into tables.

What types of fabric do table skirts come in and which is the most durable? Table skirts are available in banjo, poly sateen and poly premier fabric. Banjo cloth is the most durable.

Do you offer table skirt hangers? We offer table skirt hangers that come in a package of 10.

What is the table top clamp with pin? The table top clamp mounts on the edge of any table top and includes the pin and screw assembly. The model and size of the upright being used will determine the size of the recommended pin.

How can I make my standard table taller? We offer 11” table leg height extensions that can be installed on an existing standard table leg to reach 41” bar height.

What is the maximum weight load for United Events table leg sets? The maximum weight limit is 300 lbs. evenly distributed across the entire table top surface.

What is a shelf hanger/TDS bracket? Shelf hanger/TDS brackets allows you to mount a telescopic drape support (crossbar) across the top of an In-line booth. These brackets easily slip over the crossbars.

How can I hang telescopic drape supports (crossbars) on walls? We offer 3” and 6” wall mount valance hangers that are sold as a pair.

What are sign hooks? These are hooks that allow light-weight signs or banners to be hung from the top of a telescopic drape support (crossbar). These are available in short hook 3 1/4” and long hook 8 ¾”.

What is an adjustable crossbar clamp? An adjustable crossbar clamp is designed to mount on a standard or adjustable upright to run an additional telescopic drape support (crossbar) at any height. This component is rubber lined to prevent slippage.

What size adjustable crossbar clamp will fit on my standard/adjustable upright? Below you will find the adjustable crossbar clamp size that is compatible with each corresponding standard and adjustable upright.
